Mesa-East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade & Festival on January 20
The Mesa-East Valley MLK Committee is excited to invite the public to attend its 28th annual Mesa-East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade & Festival under the theme, Building Bridges: Cultivating our Community on January 20, 2025.
“Building Bridges: Cultivating our Community” emphasizes the importance of fostering connections and nurturing relationships that strengthen the fabric of our communities. This theme highlights our collective responsibility to sow the seeds of unity, growth, and collaboration, ensuring that every voice is heard and every contribution is valued. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and thriving community, where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
The MLK Parade 2025 kicks off at 11:00 AM at MLK Way and Center Street in downtown Mesa. The festival runs from 12PM – 4PM at the Plaza at Mesa City Center. Enjoy quality food, support local businesses and learn about community organizations. The festival also includes a Kids Corner, sponsored by Sundt Construction, with games and activities for the children of all ages.
In partnership with The Sidney Poitier New American Film School at ASU and the ASU MIX Center, a special viewing of the movie Selma will be shown at 1:00 PM at the school, 40 E Pepper Pl, Mesa, AZ.
