Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Fashionetta Event Keeps Getting Better with Time
Black Excellence in Arizona was on full display at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale on December 7 when Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Delta Beta Omega chapter) and the Phoenix AKARAMA Foundation hosted their annual Fashionetta extravaganza.
Fashionetta is one of the biggest events of the year for the Black community in the Valley of the Sun. It’s one of our longest-running and most successful traditions in Arizona. The 2024 theme was “Timeless Pearlfection.”
The fundraiser attracts approximately 1,000 guests each year! It’s fun to see family and friends dressed in their finest attire socializing, networking and people-watching!
Fashionetta was produced by On Strut Runway Entertainment Group and several prominent Black designers were featured including Perry White, Shatora Adrell, Madeline K. Smith, Zevelyn Jean and Michele M. Walden Mcphee.
Fashionetta raises thousands of dollars for scholarships and is held on the first Saturday in December every year!
