Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Beta Omega Chapter Hosts Endowment Fundraiser

The Delta Beta Omega (DBO) Educational Advancement Foundation Committee hosted a wine and cheese fundraiser on Sunday, May 22 benefitting the Grace Strauther Endowment Fund. The fund has been established; however, in order to award scholarships, the fund must be capitalized at a minimum of $20,000.

The fundraiser was held at the beautifully adorned home of George and Eula Saxon Dean. Dr. Eula Dean is President of the Delta Beta Omega Chapter. Members of the chapter and guests enjoyed an array of delectable appetizers, main dishes, desserts, wines, and cheeses. The event was well-attended and everyone echoed how much they enjoyed supporting the beautiful, lovely and dedicated Grace Strauther, a member of DBO and 20th Far Western Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

The mission of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. (a Section 501(c)(3) organization) is to promote lifelong learning. This is accomplished by securing charitable contributions, gifts and endowed funds to award scholarships, fellowships and grants. Contributions, which are tax-deductible, are never used for administrative purposes. They go directly into a permanent endowment fund, enabling donors to maximize the impact of their charitable gifts.
